For riders with experience who want to ride some remote desert trails through a rarely seen desert oasis.
Day 1
Start: 9am
Where: Santa Manta - Buritaca
Riding hours: 4
Highlights Include:

Riding the Quebrada del Sol loop. A goat trail that leads from sea level to 1000m above sea level. Bring a camera.

All-you-can-drink river tubing in Buritaca.

Falling asleep deep in the jungle at El Rio hostel. Voted Best Hostel in Colombia 2018.
Day 2
Where: Buritaca - Riohacha
Riding hours: 4
Highlights Include:

Cliff jumping at Quebrada Valencia waterfall.

The untouched fishing village of Dibulla.

Spending the afternoon ripping up the flatlands around Riohacha, or hit the beach and go kitesurfing.

Spending the night at Happiness Hostel, the best in Riohacha.
Day 3
Where: Riohacha - Cabo de la Vela
Riding hours: 5 - 6
Highlights Include:

Riding tour of the Indigenous salt flats in Manaure.

Winding trails and desert flats through the desert.
-
Entering the desert through Cabo de la Vela.
-
Fresh seafood and cheap beers for dinner.
Day 4
Where: Cabo de la Vela
Riding hours: 0 - 3 (optional rest day)
Highlights Include:

Kitesurfing! The guys at Kite Addict Colombia are the best in town. Lessons and gear rental available.

Or, getting back on the bikes to explore. Pilon de Azucar, El Arcoiris, El Ojo del Agua, and El Faro are all nearby.

Drinking a beer and watching the sunset over the Caribbean sea.
Day 5
Where: Cabo de la Vela - Punta Gallinas
Riding hours: 5
Highlights Include:

Team up with a local indigenous guide and carve a path across the desert.

Epic sand dunes and crystal blue beaches.
-
More kitesurfing, if you still have the energy!

Optional accommodation in a Wayuu hammock. Sleeping outside here is magic, and very comfortable.
Day 6
Where: Punta Gallinas - Nazareth
Riding hours: 7
Highlights Include:

Waking up surrounded by the desolate beauty of Punta Gallinas.

Navigating the maze of desert roads through La Guajira with our local guide.

Dinner and a well deserved sleep in Nazareth, the Indigenous capital of La Guajira desert.
Day 7
Where: Nazareth - Riohacha
Riding hours: 7
Highlights Include:

Challenging your enduro riding skills on the trails leading out of the desert.

Traditional Guajiro lunch in Uribia, the capital of La Guajira state. There's goat on the menu for those who dare.

A swim and a drink after a long days riding at Mayapo Beach, just north of Riohacha.
Day 8
Where: Riohacha - Santa Marta
Riding hours: 4
Highlights Include:

Visiting Dibulla, a secluded little fishing village.
-
The best pizza in Colombia at Prima Luna restaurant.

A short jungle hike to a secluded beach inside Tayrona Park.
-
Finding your own little swimming hole while exploring the trails at Paso del Mango.
